Liv Carrow

Liv Carrow will perform at OJ All Day 2nd Stage Saturday June 20, 4:30pm

Idiosyncratic guitar playing, navel gazing, highly biographical, cathartic lyricism, obnoxious punning, moot metaphor, unabashed self-consciousness, and run-on sentences of self-promotion are qualities nary as compelling as in the case of NYC's Liv Carrow.
Her songs are like the little animals that 4-year-olds make out of play-doh; lumpy yet distinguishable in form, rudimentary to the point of psychedelic complexity, dry and crumbly on the outside but "all kinds of squishy" on the inside. This mysterious and oddly lovable character takes the scenic back road to your heart with her clever-ish observations on life, death, love, health food, human reproduction, geography, the unseen world of the earth spirits and cosmic currents, awkward crushes, metaphysics, and everyone's favorite-despair.
Liv plays frequently in NYC, the Hudson Valley, and the surrounding area as a solo acoustic act. She's also the full-time bassist for Huggabroomstik and an active participant in the Bushwick Book Club. She has performed, recorded, and/or collaborated with Ching Chong Song, the Wowz, Griffin and the True Believers, Dufus, Yoko Kikuchi, Art Sorority for Girls, Le Horror Me, Secret Salamander, Susan Hwang, Andrew Philip Tipton, Joanna Kelly, Preston Spurlock, and many more of your favorite scene talents.

Liv's debut album "It's About Time" produced by Secret Salamander/Huggabroomstik's Dashan Coram can be purchased through Olive Juice Music at Her forthcoming sophomore release, "Roadkill, Romance, Reincarnation" produced by Andrew Philip Tipton will hopefully be available at the festival.
