Peggy Sue and the Pirates replaces Scary Mansion at OJ ALL DAY

We're sorry to say Scary Mansion had to cancel last minute but we are very happy to say that our new favorite band from Brighton England Peggy Sue and the Pirates are gonna be in town and have agreed to fill the slot. We couldn't think of a better replacement.

Check em out: http://2009.ojallday.com/artist/peggy-sue-and-the-pirates

Want to get a tattoo at OJ All Day?

I heard Matt is going to get a tattoo like that. You don't have to get an Olive Juice themed tattoo, but if you do want a tattoo you'll need to make an appointment! Tasha Rubinow will be at OJ All Day tattooing folks as they wish. If you want to be one of the ones, you should send her an email to make an appointment: trubinow@earthlink.com. What better way to mark the event than to mark yourself?

Also be sure to check out the events page to see what other special stuff is going on that weekend.

Also don't forget to join us for Brunch on Sunday:

OJ All Day After Brunch
Come to the Sidewalk Cafe on Sunday June 21st from 1-4pm with your OJ All Day badge to receive a $3 discount off brunch. Plus get your next boozy drink for just $3.

OJ DJ BK (Sidewalk's Ben Krieger) will be playing tunes while everyone dines and recovers from last night's party.

Sidewalk Cafe is located at 94 Avenue A on the corner of 6th Street in Manhattan

Every picture tells a story, don't it?

this photo is from a recent Schwervon show in Rennes, France. I danced shirtless, like a maniac that night and nearly came to blows with the owner of the club. by the end of the night however, we were best of friends. I expect to be just as rowdy when I see Schwervon at OJ All Day on June 20th.

Can't wait

OJ All Day will be awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing some folks I haven't seen in a while and some that I've just never seen. I think Matt will stop by East Village Radio again soon & he and I will play a shit ton of music by folks who'll be playing the festival. I'll update again as soon as I know when that will be.

how do you get to OJ Fest?

Practice, practice, practice.

Here's the barbecue video!!!

OJ Half Day Barbecue

Justin here from Elastic No-No Band. Just thought I would drop a note to say I'm working on editing a little video I shot at the OJ Half Day Barbecue a couple weeks ago. Hopefully, I'll have something to post here by tonight.

If you missed it, the OJ Half Day barbecue was at Goodbye Blue Monday and featured a glimpse and a taste of the musical goodness that will be happening this mid-June.

My band Elastic No-No Band did not play that day, but most of us were there, enjoying the festivities.

Oh, and a little self-promotion: At OJ All Day we will be giving away sampler CDs featuring 6 songs from our upcoming double-album. If you want to catch a listen to those songs, they're on our Myspace page now: http://www.myspace.com/elasticnonoband and they include guest appearances from fellow OJ All Day acts like Dave End, Toby Goodshank, Nan Turner of Schwervon!, and Brook Pridemore. Ch-ch-check it out!

More Site Updates

Hello again. Your friendly neighborhood web-developer here.

Did some more small site updates. Biggest thing was all artists now have a photo and maybe a bio up. A bunch of folks are on tour or very busy, so I snatched up myspace photos and bios for this site. Check them out!

I've also added a big update to the Events listing. Last year we only had a swap meet and craft fair, but there's a ton of cool stuff happening this time around: hair stylists, tattoo artists, book vendors, massage, and c. Check it out.

Also, on the schedule there are notes about Formal Friday and DJ Black Helmet's Saturday night dance-a-thon.

More updates to come, I'm sure. Take care!

CMJ talks about OJ ALL DAY

Olive Juice Music Announces OJ All Day Fest Line-Up
May 21, 2009
Story by: Emily Parliman

Online indie music store Olive Juice Music has just announced that this year's OJ All Day Festival is scheduled for June 19 and 20 at the Brooklyn Lyceum. The third-annual independent music fest will feature nearly 40 artists from under the Olive Juice umbrella.

Kicking off the weekend-long party is a Friday night as-black-tie-as-you'd-like event for performers and audience members from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Ching Chong Song, Shilpa Ray And Her Happy Hookers, and Purple Organ will light up two stages in the former public bath house.

Thanks to this year's larger venue, on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. the festival will include Rock Star Hair by local stylist Topher, tattoos by Tasha Rubinow of New York Hardcore, Massages by Michelle, vendor tables and a gently-used clothing/book swap (leftover items benefit the charitable bookstore/cafe Housingworks), in addition to a line-up of performers. The Trachtenberg Family Slideshow Players, Schwervon! and the Wowz will serenade festival-goers that day, and DJ Black Helmet will wrap up the party Saturday night at the fest's good-bye dance party.

Tickets, good for both days, are a mere $12 in advance and $15 at the door. For more info on the festival and its line-up check out: http://2009.ojallday.com/.

Welcome to the OJ All Day Blog!

Hi all! I'm Dibson T Hoffweiler, your friendly neighborhood web developer. I'm helping out once again this year with the OJ All Day website, and we're just getting things started.

The site has been a fun challenge this year. The art for this year's festival is being done by Michael Hoerger. Major Matt has been coordinating all the artists. It's been a wild effort though, because Matt has been on tour with Schwervon! in Europe, while Michael and I have been in the US. And now, I just arrived in Europe, to tour with Huggabroomstik (I'm actually working on the site now in Girona, Spain). It's been a challenge having the team be so international, but Matt and I will intersect in Toulouse, France on Tuesday. We'll play a show and have a triumphant chance to catch up on tour and festival dramas.

So! the site is up, and we're starting to give out logins to all the artists so they can update their profile pages. I just updated the page for my band, Urban Barnyard. Since that worked, check back soon to see what other people are updating their profiles with!
